Maximum air–product separation technology in a compact prismatic design
A prismatic (square)-body filtration unit for mounting on closed volumes — silos, hoppers and intermediate tanks where bulk raw materials, dust and granular products are stored — above all in the food and chemical industries and at all industrial plants. By flawlessly separating the high-volume air arising during pneumatic or mechanical filling from the micronised dust particles, it preserves the internal pressure balance of the closed systems and eliminates in-plant environmental emissions.
WORKING PRINCIPLE
Closed-volume expansion management — dusty-pressure reception: when product is forced into a silo or hopper by pneumatic lines or mechanical conveyors, a high air pressure and a dense micronised-dust cloud form inside; this dusty air rises toward the square filter body. High-performance cartridge/bag filtration — micronised-dust separation: the special filter elements work in variations chosen for the process state and raw-material character; as the dust-laden air passes through them, the micronised flour or chemical-dust particles are blocked on the outer surface with high dust-capture capability. High-air-permeability safe exhaust — stable pressure discharge: the air, fully cleared of dust, is released to the atmosphere through the filter’s upper dome, while the raw-material particles held on the filter elements are shed back into the silo, permanently preventing internal product loss.
KEY ADVANTAGES
- High-efficiency air permeability and dust-capture capability: The filter’s engineering success rests on a high air permeability with low static resistance and an sophisticated dust-capture technology that catches even micron-level particles; it reliably prevents the silos from deforming under over-pressure.
- Process-character filter variations: According to the physical and chemical nature of the conveyed dust-granule raw material, the storage content and the plant’s moisture regime, it can be configured with cartridge, bag or pleated filter-element variations in different fabric qualities.
- Top-level material science for food and chemical plants: For full compliance with the sector’s hygiene and corrosion criteria, besides the painted-carbon-steel model option, it is also made entirely of AISI 304 or AISI 316 stainless steel, widely preferred on food and chemical lines, above all on flour silos.
- Maximum area efficiency via the prismatic square body: The square geometry offers the flexibility to fit the maximum filtration area into the minimum volume in battery-type layouts atop silos and hoppers or in tight corner mountings; it provides a cellular-placement advantage.
ENGINEERING NOTE
The small square pressure filter is a modular safety component that, compared with round models, offers a higher filtration-area density (in $m^2$) in prismatic surface layouts. When exhausting from the silo the air created by blowers or fans in pneumatic-conveying systems, the filter elements’ filtration area and air-permeability indices are calculated to a precise balance. Our AISI 304/316 stainless-steel body options and optimised air-outlet geometry secure a safe, stable pressure-discharge regime in areas at risk of static (dust) explosion from flour dust (ATEX).
