FLOUR AND SEMOLINA SCREW CONVEYOR
(STAINLESS STEEL)

Multi-line dynamic-grist and hygienic horizontal conveying systems

A highly flexible industrial conveyor system for the finished-product floors of flour and semolina mills: for the loss-free horizontal conveying of the finished products collected from different diagram passages, plansifters or silos, and for making instant quality changes (grist / blending) in the final product to suit market demands. Fully compliant with food-sanitation standards and with a 2- or 3-channel horizontal conveying layout, it optimises the management of flour combinations.

WORKING PRINCIPLE

Dynamic product entry and glass-dome control — multi-channel reception and monitoring: the flour or semolina types arriving from the plant’s different lines reach the screw inlet sections; owing to the transparent glass sight domes placed at the inlet points, operators can visually monitor the colour, quality and flow of the running product without stopping the process. Original spiral-hose and AISI 304 pipe synergy — anti-static flexible routing: through the original spiral hoses that always keep their flexibility and do not build up static, and the AISI 304 stainless chrome pipes integrated at their ends, the product-flow line positions are easily changed within seconds; this flexibility enables the error-free configuration of flour-grist combinations. Precise screw-line transfer — homogeneous conveying and outlet: the products routed to the relevant line are conveyed horizontally and stably by the high-pitch-precision screw shaft and safely delivered to the packaging silos or flour-grist stores.

KEY ADVANTAGES

- Maximum blending flexibility via multi-line design: Depending on the plant’s diagram complexity and capacity regime, it is made as two or three lines (channels) that can be combined side by side and one above the other, in any required industrial length; it enables several flour types to be conveyed and blended at once.

- Anti-static and flexible logistic components: The connection elements that let the flow lines swap positions consist of special spiral hoses that do not build up static and keep their softness (so the flour does not clump and stick in the pipes) and wear-resistant AISI 304 chrome pipes.

- Bottom discharge and easy-cleaning hatches: So that no flour residue remains in the system during product changes or periodic sanitation stops and microbiological risks are prevented, the lower parts of the screw trough are fitted with quick-opening cleaning hatches.

- Full AISI 304 stainless-steel variant: Besides the standard models, for special flour-semolina plants requiring premium food safety, high moisture resistance and 100% hygiene, the whole body, shaft and flight group can be made entirely of AISI 304 stainless steel.

ENGINEERING NOTE

The stainless flour screw is the most critical mechanical actor of the “recipe flour production” (grist) stage that brings a flour mill commercial success. The easy repositioning provided by the static-free spiral hoses and AISI 304 chrome pipes lets the operator quickly change the physical flow scheme to instant market demands without losing time on valves and diverters. The continuous-cleaning hatches located beneath the body prevent flour from going rancid during standing and from insect infestation, keeping the plant’s hygiene score at the highest level.
