PNEUMATIC CONVEYING LINES

Pneumatic cyclone battery with injection-cast flaps and a common drive

A highly stable industrial classification unit for the aerodynamic separation of the rawmaterial and semi-product mass (air-product mixture) conveyed in pipes by high-pressure fans on the diagram lines of modern flour and semolina mills. As the heart of the pneumatic conveying lines, this system routes the conveyed product to the line outlet without loss and the carrier air to the central filtration system, safeguarding in-plant pressure stability.

WORKING PRINCIPLE

High-speed air-product mixture intake — aerodynamic line inlet: the raw-material/air mixture conveyed in the pipelines by the pneumatic fans’ dynamic pressure enters the pneumatic-cyclone body at high speed. Circular vortex and sealed flap separation — centrifugal-based isolation: the cyclone’s internal aerodynamic structure gives the mixture a circular acceleration, flings the product to the walls and, rotating, lowers it to the conical bottom; the carrier air is exhausted upward through an aluminium flap mechanism specially built over the cyclone to eliminate air leaks. Collector gathering and airlock integration — battery-type discharge: the exhaust air leaving the flaps is gathered in a common collector pipe and forced to the jet-pulse bag filter for final cleaning, while the cleaned product settled at the bottom is discharged uninterruptedly to the next process through the airlock (rotary valve) connected below, which prevents static-pressure losses.

KEY ADVANTAGES

• Injection-cast aluminium flaps. The air-discharge flaps on the cyclone are manufactured by injection casting with a densified (compressed) molecular structure; because the cast body holds not a single air pore (porosity), they reliably prevent the air leaks most common in pneumatic systems and deliver radical energy savings.

• “Monoblock-Grid” stand and single-motor common drive. Depending on the plant’s flow diagram, numerous pneumatic cyclones are mounted rigidly side by side, in parallel, on a special carrier stand; in this battery layout the discharge of the whole system is provided synchronously from a single motor via chain-and-sprocket combinations, lowering initial investment, maintenance and electricity costs.

• Diagram-customisable battery cyclone count. The number of cyclones and their layout are configured individually, to match the hourly crushing and sieving capacity, passage loading and piping layout.

• Pressure-loss-free aerodynamics. The smooth inner surfaces and the flaps’ precise sealing quality fully prevent the static-pressure drops (or reverse-vacuum effects) that could cause pipe blockages in pneumatic lines

.ENGINEERING NOTE

The pneumatic conveying lines (pneumatic cyclone battery) are the pressure-balance station ensuring stable operation of the vertical logistics network between the rolls and plansifters. The zero air permeability provided by the injection-cast aluminium flaps reliably prevents the suction power produced by the fans from dissipating in the pipeline. This sealing stability eliminates fluctuations across the whole pneumatic system and keeps the plant’s overall specific energy consumption (kWh/ton) at the most optimised limit
