Pneumatic conveying and dosing station with positive-pressure injection technology
A high-precision in-line logistic component for feeding products in granular, bulk and dust form (grain, flour, semolina, bran) into a high-speed air stream without loss, regularly and uniformly, on the positivepressure pneumatic conveying lines of flour, semolina and feed mills. By passing the pressurised air
the blower produces directly through its own body design, it transfers the raw-material mass into the pneumatic pipeline without static-blockage risks.
WORKING PRINCIPLE
Above-hopper feed and rotor filling — volumetric-pocket reception: the dust or granular product to be fed into the pneumatic line reaches the feed hopper at the top of the injector airlock; the micron-tolerancemachined pockets of the inner rotor turning in a circle fill to full capacity with the raw material descending under gravity. Monoblock air-channel kinematics — in-line aerodynamic injection: the product transferred by the rotor’s rotation to the lower chamber descends into a special air channel integrated into the injector-airlock body; the high-flow air the blower produces enters through the inlet flange on one side of the injector airlock and is forced straight into this lower chamber. Turbulence-free air-product mixture discharge — loss-free pneumatic conveying: the high-speed air stream instantly catches the product shed from the lower-chamber pockets, fluidises it and flings it into the pipeline through the outlet throat on the other side of the injector airlock; the product is conveyed stably to the targeted distant points at an ideal air-product mixture ratio (kg/kg).
KEY ADVANTAGES
• Uninterrupted conveying via monoblock injector housing. Unlike the external injector (piping) attachments connected beneath classic airlocks, the air channel is made as one piece (monoblock) with the injector-airlock body; this aerodynamic integrity eliminates in-line turbulence and makes conveying stable.
• Maximum sealing with blow-by (air-leak) protection. The radial clearances between the rotor vanes and the inner wall are machined to high precision; this prevents the pressurised air from leaking back toward the upper hopper and reliably stops the gravity-fed flour from being flung upward (bridging).
• Ultra-compact solution for low storey heights. The flat body design housing the air channel within itself removes the need for external piping elbows; it offers a unique mounting and space advantage in plant passages with limited ceiling height.
• Precise, regular volumetric feed regulation. It injects the product into the pipeline not as sudden surges but piece by piece in the volume of the rotor pockets, as a regular curtain; this orderly feeding permanently prevents pressure spikes and pipe blockages in pneumatic lines.
• Wide variation for capacity and process conditions. It is made in a great variety of industrial models and capacity options to suit the plant’s hourly milling and conveying limits, the blower pressure regime and the physical positioning dynamics of the mounting area.
ENGINEERING NOTE
The injector airlock is the most critical safety barrier preserving flow dynamics on positive-pressure pneumatic conveying lines. The blower air’s straight passage through the injector airlock optimises the kinetic shock in the first second when the product “mounts” the air stream. This metallurgical and
aerodynamic harmony, by lowering the static back-pressure especially on high-density flour and semolina conveying lines, prevents the blower motor from overloading and directly and positively affects the plant’s specific energy-consumption index (kWh/ton).
